2 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Oh yes how we love the elderly. The elderly and technology do not mix well together. God bless their hearts for trying! During the 3-minute video this elderly couple expressed all aspects of what it means to love each other. What a great example of a loving relationship. This passage is normally quoted during weddings to promote the importance of love in marriage. But we are able to experience a greater love than any human love. That's the love of our God.
This cute elderly couple was just a small reflection of the greater love our God has for us. He continues to be patient to us, though we continue to deny him and disobey him. He revealed how much he cares for us through the death of his son. It wasn't about him but was about us. Through the blood of Christ, our sins are washed away and there's not record of wrong. Our heavenly Father rejoices when we seek him, the truth, and always gives us hope in times of trouble. Is there a greater love than this?
Today may you be reminded of this love. As we reflect on his love to us, how have you expressed your love to him?
Questions to Think About:
1. What characteristic of love do you struggle with and why?
2. How can you show your love to God in your life?
3. What does it require to truly love someone?
4. Is there such thing as receiving too much love? Why or why not?

1. What characteristic of love do you struggle with and why?
I struggle to love everyone and to try to treat them the way I want to be treated and to not place judgement upon them. It's hard to love everyone because they either do something that makes me mad or jealous of them.
2. How can you show your love to God in your life?
I can show my love to God in my life by talking to him more often and spending more time with him to show that he is worth my time even if I sleep a little later or wake up earlier.
3. What does it require to truly love someone?
I'm not really sure because it depends on everyone's definition of love and how they choose to show that they love someone.
4. Is there such thing as receiving too much love? Why or why not?
There is no such thing as receiving too much love because love in infinite and has no end. I feel that when you love someone/something there's really no end to you loving them.. because you still love them even if it's years from now.
1) I think I struggle greatly with self-seeking and easily angered. I was thinking of how I express my love toward my parents as I read over the characteristics, and those two I seem to struggle with a lot. I tend to think of myself and my needs first for a lot of situations, which is not love >-< & For easily-angered, I definitely get angered with my parents a lot when I'm tired or hungry.
2) I can show my love to God by simply spending time with Him. The least I could do is say a small prayer. Another way I can show my love for Him is by living a life for Him. In whatever I do, I should do it for God & God only. An example of this would be to just really show Him through my actions at school and be different from my school friends to make others curious.
3) I think sacrifice is definitely required to truly love someone. For God, He sacrificed His one and only son. For us, we should sacrifice everything that we have to God to show our love for Him.
4) Woah, deep question. I don't think there is a limit to love! God is love, therefore love is infinite? I don't know...Love is an immeasurable concept.
